As independent curator of new contemporary art Martin Leyer-Pritzkow works more than 20 years in Germany and other countries. As exhibiting curator he develops and realizes his own topics and is cooperating with art institutions as well as with companies. His main engagement is focused on new European contemporary art with the sections figurative and abstract expressive paintings, photography and sculpture.

 

Important and visionary exhibitions:

 

  • Due Dimensioni - Arte Giovane in Italia e Germania, Venice, Rovigo, Cologne;
  • Adolf Bierbrauer - first exhibition in the NRW-Forum, Düsseldorf
  • "Young Figuratives" - Carolinenpalais Munich, and Mönchehaus-Museum for Modern Art, Goslar
  • MUC-DUS with students and alumnis of the Munich Academy of Art and Düsseldorf Academy of Art.

Martin Leyer-Pritzkow had been lecturer at The Academia di Belle Arti di Venezia for over ten years (1999-2008) and teached about the economy and communication of art.

 

He is Co-Author of the first book about the Quality criterias on contemporary art, named "Kunstkaufbuch", published by Prestel-New York, Berlin, London, 2005

 

He is author of items about artists and their works  as well as of publishing artist monographies and artist books.

 

He helds presentations about Quality on Contemporary Art, Developments of the art market and analyse how to collect contemporary art under a strategic aspect.

 

Since a lot of years he organises individual art studio visits and guides visitors thru the Biennale of Venice.

 

Time by time he gives intervies in special and daily published medias  about the quality and price development in the contemporary art market.

 

Finally he is managing art estates exclusively in the interest of artists to preserve and protect life works for the future.
