„When the medium becomes routine - Questioning photography now“, with Thyra Schmidt e.a., The Galaxy Museum of Contemporary ART(GCA)in Chongqing, China
Jörg Paul Janka is a German artist. He is born in Duisburg. He lives and works in Düsseldorf. He studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in the class of Bernd and Hilla
Becher. He is one of the renowed internationally bestknown Düsseldorf
School of photogtraphy.
In 1995 Jörg Paul Janka was together with Uschi Huber, Hans-Peter Feldmann and Stefan Schneider editor of the photo
magazine named Ohio. Since 1999, Jörg Paul Janka is the sole publisher of the photo magazine with Uschi Huber.
He is internationally known and active as a media artist with his independent art work. His works have been exhibited at the Kunstmuseum Bonn, Kunsthalle Nürnberg, Kunsthalle Düsseldorf and the Fondazione Morra, Naples
(Italy).
His well-known works include art photography from film stills, installations and art videos. (eg: Stiftmeister's Blick, Film 39 Min., 2015)
In 2017 he presented the exhibition "Save our Errors" in the rooms of Martin Leyer-Pritzkow in Düsseldorf.
