Miriam Hüning studied art photography at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. She lives and works in the town Essen. In 2010
she won the German Youth Photo Prize. Since 2012 she has been appointed member of the jury.
In her work Miriam Hüning is engaged in the construction of spaces by building spaces composed of photographs into collages. With these photographed collages, she creates her new pictorial spaces. Her work combines reality built, constructed models to new aesthetic images that do not distinguish between photography and the model.
A similar approach, in which the built environment becomes the new visual reality, we find the wellknwon photographic artist Thomas Demand. Miriam Hüning expanded its approach to the connection of the real with the constructed space. As a result, her works reach the imagination of reality with the fiction of photography to take this occasion to create new visional worlds.
Miriam Hünining has always been particpatetd exhibited in several single and group exhibitions in Germany.
