Ulrich Hensel  is a German art photographer. He lives and works in Düsseldorf. An important series from his highly concentrated works are his large format photographs of construction sites. His photographs have a limited edition of six plus two artist prints.

Ulrich Hensel is one of the few outstanding photo artistHatje Cantzs and the best friend of Andreas Gursky. Together they realized an exhibition at the Lehmbruck Museum a few years ago. There is a catalog about his "construction site photography" by Hatje Cantz. The book explains the references of his photographs. They move between painting and simulation. The construction sites are also to be understood as a symbol of social processes.
