Ewa Jaczynska was born in 1974 in Alt Münsterberg, Poland and is a German visual artist.

Ewa Jaczynska studied pedagogy and art education at the University of Warmia-Masuria, Allenstein, Poland from 1996 to 2001. From 2002 to 2005 she studied with A.R. Penck (Ralf Winkler) and from 2005 to 2009 with Herbert Brandl at the Düsseldorf Art Academy.
She lives and works in Düsseldorf.

Ewa Jaczynska is an abstract painter and in her work she focuses on the possibility that the squeegee gives her when wiping, painting the canvas or paper. Her aim is to give new singular expression to feelings, thoughts and associations from nature and the environment through the manual gesture, i.e. the action and the color used.

In her paintings gesture and use of color becomes a new own expressive image. The technique is relevant to herself, but not to the viewer, who sees only the result. Both tachist color distributions and circles with the squeegee develop a completely new formal language. The colors are used in a powerfully unpretentious way and yet show an elegant lightness in their application. They show a nonchalance in the handling of the colors used and lead to a dynamic pictorial rhythm.
