Reigen – the title exhibition – a term familiar to many in the form of a famous play, stands as a metaphor for the works of Thomas Bernstern. They are paintings from underwater worlds that depict human-like creatures in ornamental and at the same time anarchic permissiveness. These creatures, some of them baroquely entwined in themselves and others, show the communication attempts of everyday life with their contradictions and irritations that seem to lead into the endless.
