Tina Juretzek shows in her new exhibition new works that deal with landscape motifs and abstractions. The focus of her work is always the abstraction of space or landscape and form. She is concerned, as she once told in an interview, with the authentic in painting.

“You can’t cheat when you paint. For me, painting is a cognitive process. The painting relentlessly reflects where I stand, how honest I am, how authentic or else how conditioned I am.”

This new exhibition of works by Tina Juretzek makes us aware that contemporary painting is not to be seen in relation to a specific point in time, but rather in its validity it outlasts time and does not lose its expressive power. In her works it can be seen very well that outstanding painting even over decades, retains topicality and effectiveness. With her latest works Tina Juretzek underlines the essence of painting, that the contemplative, the timeless, the processual in the here and now never get lost and captivate us.

In addition to many works in museums, companies and institutions, there is a large-format work by Tina Juretzek from 1987 (format 400 cm x 360 cm) in the public area of the Heinrich-Heine-Allee subway station (on the platform in the direction of Oberkassel) in Düsseldorf, for all visitors to see.

We are looking forward to your visit.
